How to Use Pinterest as an Online Vision Board

Pinterest is a hot new photo bookmarking service that people use to pin things they find and love on the internet. Although both sexes use it, women have been flocking to Pinterest as a way to keep and share home decor ideas, craft projects, recipes, fashion styles, and even plan their weddings. Because you can share your findings with each other on Pinterest and through social media outlets, Pinterest has gone viral.

The only down side to Pinterest is that you need an invite to use their service. But don't let that stop you. I'm giving out invites to anyone that requests one so just leave a comment if you want to be part of the Pin Club. You other option is to beg your friends or mosey over to Pinterest to request an invite (they typically respond in 30 days.)

I'm a firm believer that if you can dream it, you can be it. Over the years, I've used vision boards of all different shapes and sizes to help me focus on my dreams. Sometimes, I take photos and tape them to my refrigerator or to a piece a paper and write notes about my dream. When I'm being really good, I use poster boards and magazines to create elaborate visions of my future.

My success rate with vision boards has been very high. Almost all of my dreams that I created vision boards for have come true. There are a few really big ones that seem to be hard for me to obtain but I don't let that worry me as I know that will come at their own sweet time.

What happens when you take the concept of creating a vision board and merge it with Pinterest?

Pinterest makes it so easy to keep a visual record of what you love. All you need to create an online vision board is to add the pins of the things that you want to manifest to your Pinterest boards. Follow these simple steps to create your own online vision board:

1. If you don't already have one, get an invite to Pinterest.com by leaving a comment below
2. Create boards that showcase your desires such as "My Dream Home" - "My Future Car"
3. Add the Pinterest Booklet to your Firefox or Internet Explorer browser.
4. Surf the internet or the Pinterest website for images of things that you love and use the Pin it! button to add that image to your Pinterest board
5. Create as many boards as you want to organize your dreams
6. Repeat 1 - 5 as often as you like

That's all there is to creating an online vision board. The power of this type of manifesting technique comes from your heart. As you add your pins, they should have meaning to you so when you return to look to at your pins, you feel inspired and joyful. As you keep focusing on the beautiful things you want to add to your life, those very things will start to come your way. It's inevitable!

• Can I make it myself?
• What style is that sink or faucet?
• Who makes it?
• How expensive is it?

By asking these questions, I find myself in search of more answers. In the process of learning more, I usually find even more inspiration like DIY tutorials, new craft ideas to try, and even items to buy. I use this inspiration as a way to fuel my dreams. Each tutorial I find, becomes a project to experiment with while each item to purchase becomes something I can either buy or budget for.

What I love about the process is that I am active participant in creating my dreams. As I pin and learn more about each pin, I start doing and creating what I dream about. When it comes to creating a dream home, unless you have a lot of money, your creation takes years to fully manifest. It's important to not wait until your ready to buy or decorate to know what your style is or where to get the items you dream of. It's important to start now. and Pinterest is a tool that can help you do just that.
